Dear All,

Good day and my deepest heartfelt gratitude to so many of you for the support over the years online aka/the platform of IG aka/the Colonizy/Oligarchy portal (let’s call it what it is). But my time is coming to an end.

So, that being said, I am going to hop on the social media/digital detox (Week of January 19th-26th) as of today to give me time to continue preparing for my upcoming installation Pop Up exhibit here at Karma Star Sanctuary/Studio on February 15, 2025. I am also in the thick of updating my website (please subscribe!) so that I can better regulate myself with no anxiety induced distractions in these extreme times.

I will be making the transition over to my website fulltime with an ongoing blog/daily posts and prayer bead tutorials to start; I will also be updating my Patreon site for more sharing of beads and selective personal content. If ever there was a time to organize and strengthen on the ground, it is now. I will continue to be offering Karma Star Prayer Bead Community Offerings once a month in Chimayó, NM. I am also honored to be Creative Healing Consultant for a few powerful, matriarchal led organizations across the lands. I am also available for more clients who would like to introduce hand made beads, advocacy, & other multi media modalities as a healing ceremonial path for their own organizational needs and offerings.
The Karma Star Sanctuary & Studio is also available for your own organizational needs to host your own intimate gathering here in the beautiful gallery. I am still dreaming about what this can and will look like and how to collaborate with others so please reach out. Karma Star is a sanctuary for those who need a safe, inclusive environment to gather to create art, have meaningful and inspiring discussions with poetry, beads, and one another. As many of you have been aware, five years ago I became really debilitated with a chronic autoimmune disease called Scleroderma. This is a rare disease and there is no cure other than in hopes to stabilize it, which I have been able to do with incredible care of my Doctors over these challenging years. I have also been informed that the damage (Pulmonary Fibrosis being the most serious) that has occurred over the years is permanent and will be needing continual monitoring and high risk medicines to keep my condition from worsening. Stress is a major contributor to this dis/ease. After decades of generational trauma, my body gave in and now I am learning how to live again in it and honor it’s continual healing as part of my continual thriving in surviving. The daily challenges are daunting and I am humbled every day by my state of being in this realm.

I have been making beads for over 12 years now and when I was in the hospital five years ago, at my sickest, and almost lost two finger tips from Raynaud's gangrene (another part of my disease) I was scared and sad. I remember thinking I may not be able to make beads again. I remember praying to the Ancestors and doing my best to be strong should that be my fate. Also asking for healing and if that would happen for me, I would deepen my bead practice and offerings to uplift the stories of the many survivors on my continued path. The one thing that has always given me strength, healing and energy is my time with our communitie at the table together making prayer beads and empowering our spirit and ancestral connection in the process. Us coming together and partaking in one of the oldest forms of communication, prayer, healing, protection, and adornment as our form of reconnecting with our identity and purpose in this world.

Beads are tools by which people convey information to other people, while reminding the wearer of his or her own commitment to a set of beliefs and principles. They have been significant to people from Neolithic Asia to twentieth-century New York. They are and have always been used to state basic relationships to life and the supernatural. People have used beads to organize and symbolize their world. Unfortunately I have the part of this disease that causes scarring inside the body (Systemic Sclerosis) and this has compromised my lungs and internal organs. I am on a plethora of high risk medications and will be under the care of specialists literally until my last breath.

This has been the most challenging part of my survival these past few years and I have been through many death and rebirth moments physically, emotionally, spiritually, and socially.

Autoimmune diseases are intense and complicated. The very idea that my body has turned on itself after many decades of trauma and stress has been daunting to me on my healing journey. There have been and will continue to be many more trials and tribulations I am sure but I am grateful to have stabilized my overall condition. I will be dedicating more time and resources to this topic as well here on the TarTok pages.

I am not able to take on a lot of stress as it compromises my emotional well being and then my body shuts down. There’s a whole ‘spoons’ theory as well, but that I will save for a post on my upcoming website blog. I will also be sharing very important resources to address and support the many issues facing our women and children around the world and visualize the end of femicide. There are many incredible organizations doing the good work that needs to be done whom I have had the honor to be guided by in my own work as I continue my learning on how to deepen my advocacy to be of service to all survivors everywhere.

Everyday I pray to be a better Ancestor while honoring All My Ancestors.

I need my time back that I still have while finding my place again in this realm. I need to make beads to breathe, think, and pray that this is our new beginning here in this quiet space together. For us to come together & offer one another sanctuary and powerful resources without the need of bad men dictating and controlling our every move.

I can no longer support the likes of this Tech Oligarchy and neither should you.
